The Founder
Born in the vastness of the Argentine pampas, I learned a fundamental respect for the power of the horizon line and the texture of the earth. This landscape provided an intuitive grounding in the principles of atmosphere and simplicity.
In New York, that intuition was forged into professional discipline. Working on large-scale projects, I discovered the rigorous language of structures, the precision of the detail, and the challenge of creating human-scale moments within monumental spaces. My focus was consistently drawn to the point of juncture -where different materials meet, where light defines a surface, and where the hand of the maker is revealed.
After years of working at the scale of the city, I was compelled to explore these same principles at a more intimate proximity and founded Laboratorio L. A logical continuation of my practice, the concepts remain the same: a focused study of form, materiality, and the quiet detail at a smaller scale.
